Carolina Care Plan
Originally founded in 1984 as Physicians Health Plan of South Carolina, today, Carolina Care Plan (CCP) is one of the largest Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs) in South Carolina.
Employer groups seeking health coverage can choose from a variety of different plans including HMOs, Point of Service (POS) and Qualified High Deductible Health Plan (QHDHP). CCP provides group health coverage for several statewide associations, including several chambers of commerce. CCP also has health plans for individuals, called Carolina Direct®. These plans are available for adults and their dependents, as well as just for children.
